GM&OHS NEWS Issue #124

Our summer offering was mailed to members on Tuesday July 13th.  Included with this issue is a flyer for our Fall Annual Meeting in Jackson, Tenn., an order form for the Society's next Special Edition Car #35, and the Summer Switchlist.  Two great features are presented in this magazine.

First, follow along as author Louis Saillard tracks down Where the Ten-Wheelers Went: The C&G Railway  as he tells the story about some of the M&O's fleet of 4-6-0 locomotives and where they finished out their careers.

Then, enjoy the photography, and learn about the life of Doug Steurer, one of the co-founders of the GM&OHS, as remembered by friend and author Mike Schafer in the next installment of our The Men Who Photographed the GM&O series.

Jackson Railfest 2010

     October 8-10         

For 2010 we are returning to Jackson, Tennessee, the home of Iselin and the Casey Jones Museum with whom we are partnering to bring to members a weekend like none before.  Mark your calendars, and plan to join us!

Vendor reservation forms for our Saturday Railroadiana show are available at this time, along with maps and hotel information. 

Attendee reservations will be accepted later, once our summer mailing of the Switchlist has occurred at the end of June.  Additional reservation forms and information will appear in this space at that time, as well.
