Starts off a great 2013!

GM&OHS NEWS issue #132 was mailed to members April 1st.  New membership cards and the spring Switchlist are included. 

Kicking things off this year is the next installment of our series Men Who Photographed the GM&O featuring the images of renowned shutter artist J. Parker Lamb.  This is especially timely, as our 2013 annual meeting is being held in Meridian, Miss., the city in which Parker started his photographic education.

Rounding out our first issue of the young year is an Images of Interest piece with a focus on GM&O Cabooses.  With the recent end of our caboose series, there were many great photos left unpublished.  There's a little bit of everything here for the caboose fan--and who doesn't like a great caboose?

The 41st Annual Meeting of the GM&O Historical Society will be held the weekend of November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Meridian, Mississippi.  This coincides with Meridian's own annual RailFest event!  Click on the image above for Vendor information, and check back throughout the coming months as we add information about our fall gathering.
