Special Edition Car #35

The Society is pleased to announce our next Special Edition Car, GM&OHS #35.  For this offering we have chosen Accurail's excellent 41'-6" AAR Steel Gondola.  While many of you know Accurail previously offered this model as road number #13907, the GM&O in fact owned near identical cars deep into the 14000-series as well.  This offering supplements the already fine model Accurail has produced since it is unlikely that Accurail will produce any further variations.  Prototype photographs were used extensively to ensure accurate artwork which captures the subtle variations in lettering and ampersands. The three-car set will consist of #13534 as well as two 14000-series cars, #14571 and #14579, all built by ACF's St. Louis Plant from 1948 to 1953.  All cars will be painted black with white lettering and will be in kit form.  In keeping with GM&OHS’s tradition of high standards, the artwork has been drawn courtesy of Vickey Graphics with paint and printing handled through Double R Graphics, assuring that these cars feature the same level of quality and accuracy you have come to expect from the Society's models.  Only 50 HO-scale sets have been produced, so don’t delay in submitting your order.
